A tragic car accident claimed the lives of a brother and sister when the vehicle they were traveling in crashed with a tractor-trailer truck, in rural Western New York.
The mother and driver, 48, of Bergen, was driving on a straight stretch of highway on Route 262, at about 10:15 a.m., when she turned into the path of a tractor-trailer, according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department. The accident occurred 25 miles east of Rochester
A sheriff at the scene confirmed the deaths of two young children in the accident – a girl, 7, and a boy, 11.
The mother was listed in stable condition at a hospital in Batavia.
