A 61-year-old woman and her 1-year-old granddaughter were in the car. Neither was injured in the accident. The woman driving the car described the incident to reporters.

“I see the truck coming down on me,” she said. “If I kept going, he would have ended up on top of my car.”

The rig’s huge tires came to a rest on the hood of Christopherson’s car. The body of the tractor-trailer came to a rest almost straight-up, cab-first, its back-end leaning against the elevated highway.
