An early morning car accident in Selden claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl and injured four others. The accident happened at Mooney Pond Road and Adirondack Drive in Suffolk County. A car collided with an SUV.
The front of the passenger car, a Chrysler, became engulfed in flames and all four occupants were pulled from the vehicle by police and a nearby resident.
Everyone in the Chrysler was 18-years-old and under. A 15-year-old passenger is listed in critical condition. The driver of the SUV was also injured in the car accident. It is unknown what caused the accident and the Suffolk County Police are still investigating.
