Wardrobe mirror doors have been voluntarily recalled by IKEA in the U.S. and Canada because the glass can detach unexpectedly, fall and shatter, posing a safety hazard.

To date, the company has received 14 incident reports of the mirrors breaking including one minor injury in Europe. No incidents have been reported in Canada or the U.S.

The recall includes a wardrobe door with a full-length mirror with model number101-604-51, supplier number 12650 and production weeks 1039 through 1048 (YYWW). The CPSC News Release includes a photo of the item for your reference.

The items were sold exclusively at IKEA stores nationwide from October 2010 through September 2011.

Consumers are urged to contact IKEA for instructions on how to return the mirror for a free replacement. Call IKEA at (888) 966-4532 or visit them online at www.ikea-usa.com for more information.
