Country Life has issued a recall of Target-Mins Iron Supplement Bottles, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) because the packaging is not child-resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. Iron can cause serious injury and even death to young children if multiple tablets were to be ingested.

The recall involves Country Life Target-Mins 25 mg iron supplements. The CPSC news release contains a photo of the recalled products for reference. The products affected by the recall carry the follow information: bar code 015794024927 and lot number 13A866B.

There have been no reports of illness or injury associated with this recall, to date. But, consumers are urged to immediately replace the recalled bottles out of reach of children and to return them to the store of purchase to obtain a refund or new bottle.
