Starbucks Coffee Co. is voluntarily recalling “Starbucks Barista Blade Grinders and Seattle’s Best Coffee Blade Grinders,” because they can fail to turn off and/or on, posing a laceration hazard.
To date, the agency has received 176 reports of grinders failing to turn off/on, including three reports of hand lacerations that happened when the grinders turned on unexpectedly during cleaning.
Included in the recall are about 530,000 Starbucks Barista® Blade Grinders and Seattle’s Best Coffee® Blade Grinders with the following colors and SKU numbers:

To avoid injury, consumers should stop using the recalled grinders and contact Starbucks for a free replacement.
