Solar Lighted Cantilever Umbrellas, sold exclusively at Bed Bath & Beyond, have been voluntarily recalled in the United States and Canada after reports of collapses.
According to the CPSC News Release, a plastic connect which attaches to the arm of the umbrella can break, causing the unit to collapse, posing a risk of injury to users.
To this date, the company has received 21 reports of the umbrellas collapsing. In three incidents, minor injuries were reported.
The recalled units are 13-foot Solar Lighted Cantilever Umbrellas with UPC numbers 444444550439 (tan) and 444444583963 (chocolate), which can be found on the product packaging. Model Numbers are 8070C-S and 8070C-L. [View Photos]
