Arch Swing Sets, sold by BCI Burke Co., have been voluntarily recalled in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall was initiated due to a sleeve joint support that can crack and/or break, causing the top swing beam to collapse which poses a fall and injury hazard to small children.

To date, the company has been notified of seven reports of incidents which involved the recalled swing sets. Two of the reports included minor injuries.

The recall involves the end and middle arch supports on Arch Swing Sets and added bays with belt or bucket seats built with 2 3/8 inch steel tubing. The CPSC News Release includes photos of the recalled swings for your reference.

Consumers are urged to discontinue using the recalled swing sets and to remove the chain and swings before contacting the company for a free repair kit. Owners will also be contacted directly by BCI.

For more information, you can call BCI Burke at (800) 356-2070 or visit them online at www.bciburke.com.
