Camping and hiking are popular activities during the summer months. But before taking off on your next outdoor adventure, please be sure you won’t be taking one of these recalled LED lanterns along.
Industrial Revolution is issuing a voluntary recall of UCO Arka LED Lanterns because the lantern’s wall charger plug can fail during use, posing a fire risk.
To date, there have been no reports of injury or incident in connection with this recall. But consumers are urged to stop using the recalled lanterns and to contact REI for a free replacement charger.
This recall involves UCO Arka LED lanterns that can be used as a lantern, flashlight or USB charger. The recalled lanterns are model number “A1265” which can be found on the plug’s prongs. The CPSC News Release includes photos of the recalled items for reference.
