Rattles, Teething Rings and Toys Recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of three child products that include, baby rattles, teething rings and toy phones.

Baby Rattles

Kid O Products has recalled baby rattles because the beads can come off, posing a choking hazard to young children.

To date, there have been no reports of injury.
The recall involves Prisma and Duo style wooden baby rattles with multi-colored beads. They were sold at specialty children’s stores nationwide.

Teething Rings

Calisson, Inc. has recalled Cool-it Sooner teething rings due to a bacteria risk if the ring becomes punctured, which poses an ingestion hazard to infants.

To this date there have been no reports of injury associated with this recall.

Toy Mobile Phones

Discovery Toys has recalled toy mobile phones in the U.S. and Canada because the plastic antenna can break off, posing a choking hazard to young children.

To date, the company has received three reports in which the antenna broke off. But there have been no injuries.

The recall involves a red and blue operated toy mobile phone, with model number “1231.” They were sold by Discovery Toys Educational Consultants nationwide.
