Legrand Wiremold issued a voluntary recall of under cabinet power and lighting power strips because the electrical wires are reversed on the strips, posing an electrical shock hazard.

To this date the company has received one incident report, but no injuries were reported

The recall involves four-outlet under-cabinet power and lighting strips with model number PX1001 and UPC number 0 86698 00125 3. The manufacture dates are January 2011 through June 2012.

The recalled strips were sold at several hardware stores including Ace Hardware, Home Depot and online at Amazon.com.

Consumers are urged to stop using the power strips immediately and to unplug them from the outlet. They can be returned to Legrand for a replacement product or refund.
