Power strips have been voluntarily recalled by Burlington Coat Factory stores nationwide, working in conjunction with the CPSC, because the items have undersized wiring which poses a shock hazard to consumers. Additionally, they fail to meet fire resistant safety standards, further posing a fire hazard.

To date, there have been on injury or incident reports associated with this recall.

The recall involves four designs that carry the following model numbers: 12256, 12257, 22563 and 22575. Photos can be seen on the CPSC Website for reference.

The agency is urging consumers to stop using the power strips and to return them to the store of purchase to receive a store credit or to obtain a refund. For more information, please call the company directly at (888) 223-2628 or visit them online www.burlingtoncoatfactory.com.
