Pottery Barn Kids announced a voluntary recall of Audrey, Chloe and Sophie soft dolls, in the U.S. and Canada because the hair on the dolls may contain loops large enough to fit around a child’s head and neck posing a strangulation hazard.

To date, the company has received five reports of dolls with looped hair, including one report which involved a loop of the doll’s hair found around the neck of young child. The child was not injured.

The recall involves soft dolls sold under the names Audrey, Chloe and Sophie (view photos for reference). They were sold at Pottery Barn Kids stores nationwide, in catalogs and also online through their Web site www.potterybarnkids.com.

Consumers are urged to take the recalled dolls away from small children and cut the looped hair to eliminate the hazard. Consumers can also call the company for return instructions to receive a merchandise credit.

Any questions should be directed to Pottery Barn Kids by calling them at (855) 880-4504 or visit them online at www.potterybarnkids.com.

This recall was conducted in cooperation with the CPSC. You can report any incident or injury reports by visiting www.saferproducts.gov.
