Bravo Sports, working in conjunction with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has voluntarily recalled Pogo Sticks due to a fall hazard to users. The bottom of the pogo sticks’ frame tube can break or come apart, and a pin holding the spring in place can break.
There have been 123 reports of incidents involving the pogo sticks. Nine reports involved injuries. In one case, a child chipped his tooht and required stitches for a facial laceration.
The recall involves Rocket Stick Pogo, Pop Stick Pogo, Monster Stick Pogo and Twin Stick Pogo sticks sold in blue, green and red. Only items with manufacturing date codes between 04/01/2010 – 046HE and 10/31/2010 – 046HE are involved in this recall.
