Quoizel Inc., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), issued a voluntary recall of outdoor hanging lanterns because the glass can separate from the top support ring and fall, posing an injury hazard to those nearby.
To this date there have been no reports of injury associated with this recall.
The recall involves Outdoor Hanging Lanterns labeled as “Northridge” in the Quiozel 2009 catalog. The style number is #AGNT1912K. They were sold at specialty lighting shops and online from June 2008 to January 2010.
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled items and to contact the company for a free replacement lantern. Even though the product looks fine, customers should replace the existing glass shade with the new replacement.
