My Michelle, in cooperation with the CPSC, announced a voluntary recall of Girl’s Tops because the decorative trim attached to the garments contains excessive levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children.
To date, no illnesses have been reported.
The recall involves girl’s tops and dresses sold in sizes 7 to 16. The recalled clothing was sold in various styles. Visit the CPSC Web site to see photos. All styles of the garments have a black tag on the collar with pink print that reads “mymichelle.”
The items were sold at several retail stores nationwide including J.C. Penney, Kohl’s and Burlington Coat Factory.
Consumers are urged to contact My Michelle as soon as possible to arrange a refund. For more information, call (800) 960-8791 or visit them online at www.mymichellerecall.com.
