Pottery Barn issued a voluntary recall of more than 7,000 lamps due to an electrical defect that poses a risk of electric shock to consumers.

To this date, the company has received one report of a consumer suffering an electrical shock when she touched the lamp.

The recall involves the following Pottery Barn Lamps:

Clay Task Lamp (Model #2467553)

Montgomery Task Lamp (Model #9691783)

Montgomery Floor Lamp (Model #9691775).

The lamps were sold nationwide at Pottery Barn Stores from July 2009 through August 2010.

The company urges consumers to unplug the lamps and to contact Pottery Barn to arrange returning the lamp for a refund.
