Tike Tech, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has issued a voluntary recall of Jogging Strollers due to a strangulation hazard.
The spacing between the grab bar and the seat bottom on the strollers allows an infant’s body, but not head, to slide through, which can possibly strangle or choke an infant.
To date, there have been on reports of injury associated with this recall.
Tike Tech Single City X3 and X3 Sport strollers with the following ID codes are involved in the recall: TT-18-01, TT-18-02, TT-18-03, TT-18-04, TT-18-05, TT-18-06 and TT-18-07. [ View photos of the recalled products for reference. ]
Consumers are urged to remove the grab bar from the stroller, it is an optional feature. Call Tike Tech at (800) 296-4602 or visit their Web site at www.TikeTech.com to order a free replacement.
