Indoor Pet Heating Comfort Pad Mats have been recalled by World Class Inc., in cooperation with the CPSC, due to poor wiring and construction that poses a fire and electrical hazard to consumers.
To this date, the company has received two reports of the mats catching fire, including property damage. One fire involved the death of a dog.
The recall involves “GSI electronic 50W indoor pet heating comfort pad mats,” with model number GKC2G002. They were sold exclusively online at www.Amazon.com from July 2011 to March 2012.
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled pet mats and to contact the company for a refund. World Class Inc. is always contacting consumers to inform them of the recall.
