CF Saucer Foods Inc. is recalling all of its Gold Medal Spaghetti Sauce Mix products with the date code: 8119R. People who have an allergy or sensitivity to milk are at risk of serious and/or life threatening allergic reaction should they consume the recalled products.
The recalled products were distributed through Alabama, Kentucky and Mississippi retail stores.
The product is sold under the name Gold Metal and UPC code: 0-52500-02104-7.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the Spaghetti Sauce Mix containing milk was distributed in packaging that did not declare the presence of milk. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by an oversight in the company’s development process.
