Big Lots, working in connection with the CPSC, has issued a voluntary recall of garden swings because the seat can break while in use, posing a fall hazard.

To this date, the company has received 14 reports of the swings breaking which have resulted in four results of back pain and five reports of cuts and scrapes.

The recall involves Wilson & Fisher log-style wing sets that were sold in a natural wood finish. The CPSC News Release includes photos of the recalled swings for reference. The item number of the recalled items can be found on the instructions. That number is JY1107 and the SKU number is 210020400.

Consumers are advised to discontinue sing the swing sets and to detach the seat and return it to any Big Lots store for a full refund. The remaining items of the swing should be destroyed. For more information, consumers should contact the store directly by calling (866) 244-5687 or they can visit www.biglots.com and look for the recall notice which also includes return instructions.
