Snap Beads, distributed by Edushape Ltd., have been voluntarily recalled in conjunction with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) because the snap bead peg may break off, posing a choking hazard to small children.
To this date the company has not received any reports of injuries associated with the recalled items.
The recall involves multicolor and textured soft plastic beads that are designed to connect to one another. The word “Edushape” is written on the label. They were sold online and at various retail stores from July to September 2009.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled beads and contact Edushape for a free replacement.
