ducduc, LLC, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), issued a voluntary recalled of fixed-side cribs due to an entrapment hazard.
According to the CPSC, the bottom rails on the crib sides can separate from the sides when the mattress is in the lowest position, causing the spindles to separate and the mattress to drop. View photos of the recalled cribs on the CPSC Web site.
To date, the company has received five reports of the rails separating. But there have been no reported injuries.
Please refer to the CPSC News Release to view a list of fixed-side cribs with corresponding model names and date codes and photos.
Consumers are urged to discontinue using these cribs until they can be repaired. The company will be contacting consumers directly. However, if you have not received a notice from them, you should contact them for a free repair kit.
