Discount School Supply, of Monterey, Calif., is voluntarily recalling certain Double Egg Shakers because surface paint on the red eggs contains excessive levels of lead.
To this date, there have been no reports of illness associated with the recall.
The recalled egg shakers were sold in packages of two at Discount Supply stores nationwide from April through December 2009. Refer to the CPSC News Release to view a picture of the recalled items. * Only red eggs are involved in this recall.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled eggs and to take them from children and to contact the company for a purchase credit.
