Dollar Tree Stores Inc., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of its Crafters Square Holt Melt Mini Glue Guns. The glue guns can short-circuit and cause the gun to smoke and catch on fire – posing a fire, burn and shock hazard to consumers.
The company has received seven reports of the glue guns short circuiting resulting in two injuries – including burns and electrical shock.
The recalled glue guns are black with a yellow trigger. “Crafters Square” and product number 818261-72 or 81826175 can be found on the gun packaging.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled glue guns and to return them to the store in which they were purchased to receive a full refund.
