D&D Distributing-Wholesale Inc., in cooperation with the CPSC, announced a voluntary recall of “Love Tester” mood rings and necklaces because they contain high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Although no injuries have been reported in connection with this recall, consumers should take the recalled jewelry away from children and return to the store of purchase for a refund or replacement.
The recall involves an 18 inch mood necklace and an adjustable ring. “Love Tester” and “Are You In the Mood” are labeled on the packaging (they were sold separately). [View Photos]
