Zippo Manufacturing, in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is recalling more than 17,000 Zippo Slatkin & Co. Candle Lighters. The lighters can produce an excessive flame on the maximum flame setting, posing a burn hazard.
To this date the company has not received any reports of injury or incidents associated with the recall.
The recall involves Zippo Slatkin & Co. candle lighters with date codes: G09 or H09. They were sold nationwide at White Barn Candle and Bath & Body Works stores and online.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled lighters and to contact Zippo for information on receiving a free replacement.
