Big Lots Stores announced a voluntary recall of Wooden Bunk Beds because the mattress support slats and side railings can break, posing a fall hazard.
To this date, the company has received 14 reports of the recalled bunk beds’ support slats cracking or breaking. Four reports included minor injuries.
The recall includes more than 20,000 wooden bunk beds with a three step ladder sold exclusively at Big Lots stores nationwide. The affected model numbers are WP-9108-1 and WP-9108-2.
Consumers are advised to contact Big Lots for a free repair kit and in the meantime should stop using the recalled bunk beds.
