Bicycle Bells imported by Do It Best Corp., have been voluntarily recalled because the red paint on the bells violates the federal lead paint standard. Lead can be toxic if ingested by small children.
To this date, the company has not been notified of any incidents associated with the recall bicycle bells.
The recall involves 1,000 children’s bicycle bells sold at Dollar Stores and Do It Best Hardware stores nationwide. The bells are black, red and white and have "I ♥ My Bike" printed on the top.
The recalled bicycle bells should be returned to the store of purchase for a refund. In the meantime, the item should be taken away from small children.

The recall was initiated in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
