Mizuno USA Inc., working in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has announced a voluntary recall of Mizuno Supreme Series and Ballpark Pro baseball and softball gloves due to the presence of mold, which can cause health issues, particularly in those with impaired immune systems.
To date, there have been no incidents reported associated with this recall.
The recalled baseball and softball gloves have a white label at the heel of the glove with the words “Made in Vietnam” and the model number. The CPSC News Release includes a complete list of the model numbers and corresponding date codes affected by this recall, along with photos.
The items included in this recall were sold at Target and Walmart stores nationwide.
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled gloves and to contact Mizuno at (800) 451-7913 to request a refund.
