An estimated 227,000 led night lights have been voluntarily recalled by American Tack & Hardware Co. Inc., due to an electrical defect that can cause the night light to overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard.
To this date, the company has received 25 reports of the night lights burning, charring, melting and smoking. There have been no reports of injuries.
The recall involves three AmerTac night lights. Each unit has a model name and two model numbers. Below are specific details of the recalled items.

The recalled items were sold at home centers, lighting showrooms and hardware stores.
