McNeil Consumer Healthcare has issued yet another voluntary recall. This time the recall affects all lots of Children’s Benadryl Allergy Fastmelt Tablets in both cherry and grape flavors. As well as all product lots of Junior Strength Motrin Caplets distributed in the U.S.
The recall was initiated after a review, conducted as part of McNeil’s Comprehensive Action Plan, revealed insufficiencies in the development of the manufacturing process. There is no indication that the recalled products do not meet quality standards, and this recall is not being undertaken on the basis of adverse events.

Rolaids Recalled
One product lot of ROLAIDS Extra Strength Softchews (cherry flavor) has been recalled din the U.S. The recall was initiated as a precaution following complaints of inconsistent texture that was traced to crystallized sugar in the product.
The recalled products were manufactured by a third party for McNeil and the affected LOT number is 0053AG2. For more information, consumers can call the phone number listed above.
In October, McNeil issued a recall of Tylenol 8HR caplets due to consumer complaints of a musty smell, the same smell that triggered recalls of other products during the past year.
