All unexpired lots of Pro-Pet Adult Daily Vitamin supplements for dogs have been recalled by United Pet Group due to a salmonella scare.

The company received one report of a dog becoming ill after eating the product, to date. No reports have involved people.

The affected products have expiration dates on or before June 2013. They were sold nationwide at major retailers. The product comes in 100-count white plastic bottles with a light blue label, and UPC code 26851-01800.

Pets poisoned with salmonella may become lethargic, have diarrhea, fever and vomiting. Some may also have a decreased appetite, abdominal pain and fever. People who handle tainted pet food can also become infected with salmonella especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with these products.

Consumers can call 800-645-5154 for more information.

I dont see the adult vitamin on the recall list. Where can I buy them? Walmart is out. They are the only vitamins my dogs would eat and like.
