Dole Fresh Vegetables is recalling certain bags of Italian Blend salad due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination, which can cause foodborne illness.
To date, no illnesses have been reported. The company is working closely with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to resolve the issue.
The recalled salad blend has a Use-by date of June 19, 2011 and involves the following UPC Code and product codes:

No other Dole salads are involved in this recall.
Some bags of Kroger Fresh Selections Italian Style Blend salad, with Use-by date of June 19, 2011 are also being recalled.

The recalled salad blends were distributed in twelve states including New York as well as three Canadian provinces.
