Oranique by Himalaya Nourishing Night Cream has been recalled nationwide in the U.S. and Canada because the product has the potential to be contaminated with the bacteria staphylococcus aureus and fungus.
The recall affects specific batch numbers which are: batch #S691001 and batch #S691002. The batch number can be found on the bottom of the bottle.
The contamination was found in samples of the cream and traced to the bottle’s pump components which were supplied by a third party manufacturer. Because there is no way to determine if all the pumps are tainted, the entire batch is being recalled.
The company has not received any incident reports to date. The recall is a voluntary and preventive measure by HimalayUSA after learning of the possible contamination.
The company is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to correct the problem. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this recall, you can contact HimalayaUSA at 800-869-4640.
