An abundance of precaution has led to the recall of several sizes of H-E-B Brand cottage cheese, dips, yogurts and sour cream in various sizes that was sold between June 18 and July 27 due to the possible presence of foreign material.
While there have been no reports of injury, to date, associated with this recall, the company voluntarily recalled the items to ensure the safety of its consumers.
“H-E-B is committed to the highest standards of food safety for our customers,” said Winell Herron, Group Vice President of Public Affairs and Diversity. “We want to take every precaution necessary to ensure the integrity and quality of the products sold in our stores.”
The recalled products involved in this recall can be returned to any Central Market, H-E-B, Mi Tienda and Joe V’s store for a refund. For more information, please call H-E-B at 210-938-8357 or 1-800-432-3113.
The FDA Web site maintains a complete list of recalled items which includes the product size and corresponding UPC code.
