Comments Off

One lot of Nostrilla Nasal Decongestant nasal spray has been voluntarily recalled by Insight Pharmaceuticals, LLC due to a possible contamination of the bacteria Burkholderia cepacia.

The recall includes lot #11G075, UPC Code 6373673005. It was distributed nationwide at retail outlets and pharmacies. The expiration date on the label is 05/2014.

To date, no illnesses have been reported associated with this recall.

The recall was prompted after an internal investigation discovered sporadic presence of a microbial contaminant which exceeds product specifications.

Consumers are urged to return the recalled item and to contact the company directly at 1-877-546-9059. If you are concerned that you may have experienced any health related problems associated with these items, please contact your doctor immediately.

Burkholderia cepacia may cause serious infection in individuals with a compromised immune system or chronic lung condition (i.e. cystic fibrosis). However, the possibility of infection is remote in healthy individuals.
