Women’s Multivitamins Recalled by GNC

Comments Off

GNC has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of certain vitamins because the product contains iron, but does not have child-resistant packaging, as required by law. If ingested by a young child, these vitamins can cause serious injury and possibly even death.

The following four vitamin products are the only items included in this recall:

GNC Women’s Ultra Mega 28-count multivitamin bottles – lot numbers 0432AL1781 and 1283CL1781

GNC Women’s Ultra Mega Active 180-count multivitamin bottles – lot numbers 1029BL1783 and 1030BL1783

GNC Women’s Ultra Mega Energy and Metabolism 90-count multivitamin bottles – lot number 1450CL1789

GNC Prenatal Formula with Iron 120-count multivitamin bottles – lot number 0785BL2863

To this date, there have been no reports or incidents associated with this recall.

Consumers are urged to keep these products out of reach of children. They should be returned to the nearest GNC store for a replacement or refund.

For more information regarding this recall notice, please call GNC directly at (888) 462-2548 or visit them online at www.gnc.com.
