Shower Doors Recalled By Kohler Due To Laceration Hazard

Comments Off

Glass shower doors have been voluntarily recalled by Kohler due to a hinge panel on the door that can shatter, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.

There have been no incidents or injuries in connection to this recall, at this time.

The recall involves a ½ inch thick hinge panel included in the Kohler Purist®, Pinstripe® and Finial® frameless heavy glass pivot shower doors. The hinge panel was sold as a component under part numbers 705753-L-NA, 705754-L-NA and 705760-L-NA in various shower door packages.

The CPSC News Release includes a complete list of product model numbers that are included in this recall. View the list here.

The items were sold through many plumbing distributors nationwide from May 2009 through November 2010. They were manufactured in the United States.

Consumers should discontinue use of the recalled shower doors and contact Kohler for a free replacement hinge panel. An Authorized Service Representative (ASR) from Kohler will remove the old hinge panel and install a new hinge panel.

For more information, call Kohler directly at (866) 782-6329 or visit them online at www.kohler.com.
