Safety: 10 Bike-Related Recalls to Check

Comments Off

Summer is upon us and more people will be riding their bicycles, but the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) urges consumers to ensure that their bicycles and riding accessories have not been recently recalled posing a risk of injury or possibly even death in some cases.

The CPSC Web site has a list of ten recent bicycle-related recalls which includes brake cables, helmets and baby seats that you should check out before hitting the streets. You can learn more on the CPSC Web site which includes photos, model numbers and more for your reference.

The CPSC wants to know if you have experienced an injury or incident involving these products, either directly or involving a different hazard with the same product. Please visit SaferProducts.gov to share your experience.

Most importantly, remember safety first and foremost, wear your helmet!
