Ottomans Recalled By Big Lots Due to Fall Hazard

Comments Off

Big Lots issued a voluntary recall of ottomans, sold exclusively at their stores, because they have the potential to collapse during use, posing a fall hazard to consumers.

To this date, the company has received 19 reports of consumers falling through the center of ottomans. In six cases there were minor injuries reported which included bruises, scratches, back pain and contusions.

The recall involves Wilson Fisher brand ottomans that are dark brown resin wicker with a cream colored cushion. The ottomans are part of a six-piece set that also includes a sofa, table and two chairs. The recalled set has an item number: DA13-015-6S-2CO and SKU 810140754.

Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled furniture and to return the item to any Big Lots store to receive a $50 refund. Customers are permitted to keep the other pieces of the set. For more information please call Big Lots directly at (866) 244-5687 or visit them online at www.biglots.com.
