Fire Hazard Prompts Recall Of Konica Minolta Printers

Comments Off

Konica Minolta Business Solutions, working in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a voluntary recall of printers because they can short circuit and overheat, posing a fire hazard.

To this date, the agency has received two reports of the printers overheating, but there have been no reported injuries.

The recall involves for desktop model laser printers: Magicolor 4750DN, Magicolor 3730DN, Bizhub C35 and Bizhub C35P. They were sold at numerous value-added resellers, direct retail sales and authorized dealers from June 2010 through March 2011.

An authorized service agent will visit consumers that have Bizhub C35 and C35P models to repair or replace the faulty component. Consumers that have Magicolor 3730DN and 4750DN models are urged to stop using the units immediately and to contact the company for a free replacement.

For more information, contact Konica Minolta at (800) 825-5664 or visit them online at www.kmbs.konicaminolta.us.
