Energizer Recalls Night Lights

Comments Off

Energizer, working in cooperation with CPSC, issued a voluntary recall of rotating night lights sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide, because they can overheat and smoke, posing a burn hazard.

To this date, the company has received nine reports of the night lights overheating. Three reports involved minor property damage, but no injuries have been reported.

The recall involves an estimated 260,000 Energizer LED rotating night lights with Model Number “NLPLROT” and date codes between 0110 (for January 2010) through 0111 (for January 2011). Photos of the recalled lights can be viewed here for reference.

The agency recommends unpluging and discontinuing use of the recalled lights to eliminate a burn hazard. The company can be contacted for return instructions by calling Energizer at (800) 383-7323 or visiting their website at www.energizer.com.
