CPSC – Several Children’s Clothing Items Recalled

Comments Off

Several children’s clothing items including hoodies and jackets have been recalled this month, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Drawstrings in children’s garments pose a strangulation hazard. In February 1996, the CPSC issued guidelines (pdf) (which became an industry standard in 1997) to help prevent children from strangling or becoming entangled by neck and waist drawstrings in upper garments.
