Allreds Design (d/b/a Hidden Hollow Beads), in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is voluntarily recalling Baby Bracelets and Pacifier Clips because the clasps contain high levels of lead, which can be toxic if ingested by young children.

Lead poisoning in children is associated with behavioral problems, learning disabilities, hearing problems and growth retardation.

To this date, the company has received one report of a young child that was treated by a physician for elevated lead levels. The company was alerted to the hazard by Jefferson County’s Health Department.

Allreds Design brand Baby Bracelets and Pacifier Clips are involved in the recall. They were sold in several sizes and have crystal and plastic beads in various colors.

Consumers are advised to take the recalled items away from children immediately and to contact the company for replacement instructions.
