Two people died early this morning when their car crashed into a house and started a blaze, causing five people inside the house to flee for their lives.

The accident happened around 1:30am Tuesday morning as the driver of a car traveling on Byberry Road in Hatboro, PA failed to navigate around a curve in the road, reports Philly.com.

The car left the roadway, hit a parked car and then smashed into a two-story house. The crash caused a fire to break out that totally consumed the structure.

NBC Philadelphia reports that luckily, Jim Cummings, his wife, 3 children and the family dog escaped their burning home without injury. Everything inside the house was lost.

The driver and a passenger in the car died, their car engulfed by flames. The coroner is not expected to release the identities of those who died for at least a day.

"The coroner and the detectives are still out there," Upper Moreland Police Chief Tom Nestel told Philly .com. "As of the last contact, they still did not know who they are."

All that remained of the house was the charred frame.
